There is great debate and negotiations taking place two weeks before the Decision 2020 elections. The U.S. Congress and White House are in a tug-of-war over whether a second stimulus bill should be passed and for how much. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is giving the U.S. Senate and the White House until October 20 to finalize a second stimulus bill because members of Congress will be heading home to prepare for the election on November third and there won't be time to pass it.
Paul Lawrence Vann worked in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Capitol Hill Fellow and saw up close the divide between the two major parties. What is at risk is not the members of Congress or the White House, what is at risk is the American people.
During this brief synopsis Paul shares what are the issues, the American people, the different industries such as funding for COVID-19, first responders, the medical establishment, airlines, hotels, schools, and of course jobs people have lost and or can't return to during COVID-19. Who stands to lose it all, the hard-working citizens of America in what is called the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions Act (HEROES Act).
Congress and the White House should put party affiliation on the sidelines for this one, the well being of the citizens is at stake. Losing one's house, job, and now, life doesn't have to happen if the leadership of the U.S. do the right thing and help people who are in dire need of help.
Everyone will truly know what side of history this Congress and White House will be on come October 20th and then on November 3rd. Let's all see what happens, hopefully, leadership will do the right thing by the people.
