The three-part series on taking decisive steps to get rich in your 20s, to become rich in your 30s is going to get your attention. What this provides to listeners is a fundamental principle when it comes to becoming rich and it's this, the sooner you start the quicker you will begin achieving your desired money goals.
Financial Coach Paul Lawrence Vann touched on the following five (5) steps during this episode:
- Own your own business because it pays to be operating in your passion field and yes it takes hard work, but the rewards outweigh the risk.
- Plan for the long run. In the early stages of building up your savings, and emergency accounts you will begin to see progress. While employed for someone else, simply request to be added to a retirement plan, 401K, and or Roth IRA and it will result in tax-free investment, this can result in a quick accumulation on your investment.
- It goes without saying that if you're to become rich, you will have to take some risk in life. The following quote comes to mind, "The greater the risk, the greater the reward." Take a chance on yourself and over time it will reward you.
- Put your financial plan on autopilot because it will result in one less thing you will have to think about. Automate your finances, register for a direct deposit bank account, savings, emergency funds, bill payments, to include your utilities, and more. Online banking works when you register for autopilot.
- Lastly, an accelerator that will help you become rich is to find a wonderful mentor. A mentor has been where you're trying to get, thus their knowledge can save you time and money. Search wisely because you don't want to be working with a mentor that holds you back.
